Outlaw Mini Mod Series Racing Format and Points System

»  Race Format

Drivers will draw twice at the gate or registration trailer. The first draw will determine your Heat Race starting position. The second draw will determine your Feature starting position. (You will use your Feature Starting Draw Number when you Qualify with the top 3 highest points total, averaged between your heat and dash race.)

Heat Race (8-10 Laps) - Drivers will draw for starting position.

Dash Race (8-10 Laps) - This race will be lined up INVERTED from the Heat Race Draw.

1- Dash Race with 5 cars or less- ALL Qualify for re-draw in feature.
2- Dash Races with 3 or more cars- Top 3 Qualify for re-draw in feature.

Feature (15 laps minimum) - Number of laps will be determined before the race starts. This race will be lined up from a Re-Draw of the top 6 from the two heats/dash races using the second number drawn at registration time, the rest of the field will line up from the remaining qualifying results.

»  PointsSystem

The Outlaw Mini Mod Series uses the Wissota Points scoring system. Points will stay with the “Driver” not the car. You must race the same car you qualify with, in the feature. If you qualify but are forced to drive a different car, you must start at the rear of the feature. You will still be awarded the points earned.  Each track will award “track” points separate from the “Hunt” points. The 2012 Outlaw Mini Mod Series points Championship will be based on the 12 “Hunt” races. You can drop 1 of the 12 races. Example: 2 rain outs, 10 complete shows, driver with the most points from 9 of the 10 completed shows wins the Championship Title. There will be NO rescheduled “Hunt” races.
